Hello, again.

We all need a break sometimes. Perhaps you noticed I stepped away from posting, nearly everywhere, for a bit. I suppose it was somewhat intentional. Though the length of my absence was longer than expected.

After spending a decade traveling and living on the road, followed by nearly two years alone in Oregon throughout the pandemic, quite a bit has changed. I stopped capturing photos with my Nikon, travel came to a standstill, and I missed my people more than I imagined possible. The whirlwind I was living abruptly stopped spinning. A reality we all experienced on some level.

Priority one was finally making my way eastbound to hug and be with family. There was so much lost time to make up in person. And, for the most part, that’s where I have been dedicating myself. Focusing on the people I love most in this world.

Thinking about what comes next for me has been on my mind, too. I still love hiking. Dandy and I will travel again, though trips will likely be shorter. And my Nikon is out of the case, clean, and ready for use. Sharing beautiful places with you will always make me happy. I simply need to reign in where and how I share. Because mimicking the broad content creation from a few years back is simply too much. So, here’s the new plan.

I have decided to start blogging again. Instead of multiple posts per week, I am moving to one post per blog per month. Here’s a snapshot of each blog:

  • Journal: Heartfelt stories and updates.

  • Travel: Tips and recommendations from the road.

  • Organization: Printable sets and design items.

My decade old monthly newsletter is still going strong, with a free wallpaper calendar plus a little note from me. I have decided to move this newsletter to Substack, allowing the content to live online in addition to being delivered by email. If you are already a subscriber and the newsletter does not land in your inbox on Monday, check your spam and promotion folders.

Everyone has been letting me know they miss seeing my daily photos on social media. I have missed sharing them with you, too. But must admit, a simpler approach is needed on my end.

My hope is you will enjoy receiving my second newsletter, Beautiful Escape, launching on Monday. Instead of sharing photos on multiple social media accounts each day, they will be delivered directly to the inbox of subscribers. There’s a free and paid option, with everyone receiving the daily photos and paid subscribers having access to the full archive of online posts. Whichever option works best for you, I am happy to be invited into your inbox each morning.

Thanks for stopping by and checking in. See you back here in a month?
