Road trip planning.

Canada | Banff National Park

You all must be planning, because quite a few people have recently asked how I map out my long road trips. Having Dandy makes trip planning a bit easier and flexible. I usually pick a handful of must stops (almost always national parks) and fill in the gaps with places experiencing ideal weather conditions for hiking and exploring.

There are certain times of year I need to be in Portland, for medical and business reasons. And ideal times to be on the East Coast for family visits. I always make a point to be on a road trip during my two favorite seasons, enjoying spring wildflowers and fall colors.

Over the years, RoadTrippers has always been a great resource. Allowing me to visually map out stops and various route options with a few clicks. Should you be interested in a RoadTrippers Plus subscription, use code BTR5QTP for a $5 discount.

I am still working on my 2020 road trip plans. For now, downtime with family this winter feels right. Before heading out in search of spring blooms.
